"Astonishingly delicate and crystalline"

"as if born of the earth itself"

"Throughout history, glass has driven architecture to great conceptual heights."

Glass resolved a dilemma of how to devise a material that was transparent, durable and strong, yet also economical to produce. Throughout history, glass has driven architecture to great conceptual heights, but its use in private houses has stimulated pureSilica to great innovative architectural and technical imagination.

"Which lets in the light of the sun."

In 1914, the German visionary writer Paul Scheebart described his fantasy of a world revitalised by glass architecture "which lets in the light of the sun, the moon and the stars, not merely through windows but through every possible wall made entirely of glass." Scheebart vividly expressed a dream that proved an inspiration for the Modern Movement at a time when the potential of glass technology was being revealed. Today, his vision of an architecture made entirely of glass has become a reality through technical advances and the architectural imagination of pureSilica.

"Glass as a beautiful material in its own right."

The notion of glass as a beautiful material in its own right was a key tenent of early 20th-century Modernism, which finds continued expression in the work of contemporary architects and designers. Yet the increasing sophistication of glazing technology means that its use is not confined to the exterior. Powerful contrasts between light and shadow, opacity and transparency can be realized through the skilful use of glass in walls, screens, floors and staircases.

"Curved wall surfaces that entice you to touch."

Today, pureSilica's curved wall surfaces entice you to touch. You simply cannot resist. The texture or smoothness of each curved surface under the touch of your finger tips awakens your inner senses. They tease and caress emotions that have often been locked away since early childhood.

"This near-sacred simplicity of the glass pavilion."

This near-sacred simplicity of the glass pavilion makes it perhaps the only building type for which an architect can give full vent to his or her creativity and can exercise complete design control and establish a genuinely intimate client relationship. Transformed into a vehicle for personal expression for both client and architect, the glass pavilion comes to represent the fulfillment of dreams.

"Astonishingly delicate and crystalline."

Astonishingly delicate and crystalline, pureSilica's glass pavilions appear to hover lightly in space, like glass sculptures born of the earth itself.

"Individually designed and built for enlightened and adventurous clients"

Individually designed and built for enlightened and adventurous clients, each pureSilica pavilion epitomizes Le Corbuser's mantra of; 'soleil, espace, venture'. (sun, light and greenery) creating uplifting spaces in which to live. Each embodying material honesty and structural integrity. Sheathed in glass, with interior walls of etched and polished glass, natural limestone, bleached ash and limed oak which can be freely positioned, promoting a free-flowing dynamic interior.

"Sumptuous homes."

Available in sizes of circa 250sq. ft. (23m2) to over 5000sq ft (500m2) as sumptuous retirement homes, ground floor extensions, holiday villas, granny accommodation or lavish exciting and fulfilling family homes.

"Erection on any terrain, virtually anywhere in the world."

Their unique sophisticated engineering enables erection on any terrain, virtually anywhere in the world on simple helical or concrete piles without disturbing existing protected trees or environments, etc.

"In areas at risk of flooding"

In areas at risk of flooding, certain models can be triggered automatically to elevate to a height in excess of 2m above ground level to clear rising flood water. Once the water has receded the pavilion automatically lowers back to its original position, unscathed by what could otherwise have destroyed lesser buildings.
