'About pureSilica'
"Our 'soul' lies in a more ethical, transitional form of modernist architecture."
Although we have greatly enjoyed our past commissions involving the modernisation of period property, our 'soul' lies in a transitional form of modernist architecture.
More recently popularly refered to, somewhat euphemistically perhaps, as 'grand design,' 'modern architecture,' 'green design,' 'sustainable design,' or 'contemporary architecture.'
A hybrid, heavily influenced by the early Egyption designers, the sixteenth century influential architect Gondala, better known as Palladio (Andrea di Pietro ella Gondola) and more recently the holistic artist and architect, Rennie (Charles Rennie Mackintosh) and the art nouveau architect, Mies (Ludwig Mies Van de Rohe);the most influential exponent of the refined 'glass-and-steel'movement.
"We have manufactured, built and installed everything."
From the outset some 30 plus years ago,we have manufactured, built and erected or installed everything we have designed.
"Architecture that has evolved out of the simple desire to avoid such brutal design."
There is nothing more beautiful than the female form, yet their soft subcutaneous tissue is for ever being bruised by sharp aggressive and unyielding everyday objects.
"Walls which can be freely re-positioned."
"...creating neutral spaces of material honesty and structural integrity, sheathed in glass, walls of etched, tinted and coloured glass, natural limestone, bleached ash and limed oak. Walls which can be freely re-positioned, promoting a free-flowing dynamic interior."
"Like the curled leaves of some giant transparent plant."
"Homes are not meant to be like this. Walls are not meant to excite through touch. They are not usually alive, in harmony with the house and it's occupants, like the curled leaves of some giant transparent plant."
"Architecture that is simply.... pureSilica"
