Robert Sangster was the honorary chairman of a bowling and social club for whom Christopher had designed and built a new clubhouse near to his home on the outskirts of the village of Swettenham in Cheshire.

The works under the commission included remodelling of the main Grade 11 listed farmhouse as well as several cottages for members of staff and extensive alterations to the Grade 11* stabling.
