Having been frustrated by false promises and disappointing designs, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell turned to Christopher to modernise their kitchen and utility room and add a large orangery to the rear of their country home.

Christopher's first design led to yet further disappointment but, unperturbed, he worked through the night to present a more avant-garde design to the clients over breakfast the next morning.

Since then Mrs. Mitchell has been one of Christopher greatest ambassadors.
